The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love. The Bible is our highest authority of truth, wisdom and guidance for life. Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16.
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. There is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26, Genesis 1:27, Psalm 90:2.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to defeat the power of sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings. Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 7:13, 1 John 5:20.
The Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. He is present in the world and dwells within true followers of Jesus Christ. He makes people aware of sin and their need for Jesus Christ. The Fruit of The Spirit is evident in the lives which He dwells. He provides the Christian with power for living, witinessing, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His guidance and in His strength in greater measure each day. 1 Corinthians 6:19, John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 16:8.
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness of sin can man be saved. Salvation is received by turning from sin and trusting in Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23, John 6:36, John 3:16, 1 John 5:11.
